Utah House Bill 0041 Sent to Governor Cox for Signature

The Utah legislature has sent HB0041 to the Governor for signature.  HB0041 is titled "Construction and Fire Code Amendments".  While there are several key elements of this pending legislation, the two most notable are:

1. To update Utah's adoption of the 2006 WUI building codes by adopting the 2024 WUI building codes.

2. To delay collection of the initial fee under 2025's HB0048 "Wildland Urban Interface Modifications" from January 2026 to January 2027.
