Statement of Intent

1. To promote and sustain Dammeron Valley as a Fire Adapted, Firewise Community, seeking to create a community culture of prevention.

​2. Encourage engagement, collaboration, and information sharing by key stakeholders (state, local, community).

3. Sponsor and organize annual community wildfire and wildland urban interface (WUI)-related education events, providing the community with current sources of information.

4. Organize annual community fuels mitigation program(s) in collaboration with key stakeholders.

5. Identify risks to life and property before (prevention) and during (protection) a wildfire event, proactively working with stakeholders to plan for and reduce risks as documented in the Dammeron Valley Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP).
