October Outlook, Final 2026 Community Workshop

As late Summer and early Fall rains and cooling temperatures continue to dominate the weather forecast, the October 2026 Significant Wildfire Potential Outlook identifies decreasing risks for Utah and much of the United States. Following an incredibly active season to date, the outlook is welcomed news. The cooler weather also makes fuels reduction and general landscape maintenance around our homes much more enjoyable.
The DV-CFC, in partnership with DVFR, Washington County, and DNR, will be hosting a Community Wildfire Preparedness Workshop for SR18 residents on Saturday, November 14, to be held at DVFR Station 13 in Dammeron Valley. The doors will open at 8:00 AM, with presentations to begin at 8:30 AM. Additional details will be announced soon; expect new and timely content. Mark your calendars!
