Dammeron Valley Fire & Rescue Fire Restrictions

Due to current and forecasted weather conditions coupled with the extremely dry vegetation conditions encroaching into Southwest Utah and our area, fire restrictions are being implemented in Dammeron Valley’s fire protection area of operations to prevent and mitigate the risk or ignition of a wildfire.  Per order of the DVFR Fire Marshal, the following restrictions are in place for Dammeron Valley’s fire district response area:

  • No open fires of any kind except in permanently constructed fire pits at private homes where running water is present

  • Smoking, except within an enclosed vehicle, trailer or building, or while stopped in an area that is paved and free from dry vegetation

  • Discharging or using any fireworks, ammunition or other pyrotechnic devices including exploding targets

  • Cutting, welding or grinding metal in areas of dry vegetation

  • Operating a motorcycle, chainsaw, ATV, or other small internal combustion engine without a working spark arrestor

Please contact the DVFR Fire Marshal if there are any questions.

Effective Date: 12:01 a.m., 11 May 2026
