Chipping Location Opening This Saturday, August 8

Good news for residents who have been waiting for the new green waste collection site to become available. In partnership with the Washington County Water Conservancy District (WCWCD), DV-CFC and DVFR will open the new location for residents to drop off tree and yard trimmings for chipping from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM this Saturday, August 8. The location will continue to be open each week on Tuesday and Saturday mornings, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. As a reminder, the location is to be used for chippable green waste only.
What can be left for chipping?
Tree and plant material
Branches/trunks no more than 6" in diameter, no more than 6' long
What cannot be left?
Lumber, household items, or any materials other than tree and plant material
Loose leaves, lawn trimmings, dirt, rocks
Root balls
Stumps
Trunks/limbs larger than 6"
The new location is on the WCWCD property at the corner of N. Pinion Hills Dr and Pinion Lane. The gates to the property will open at 8:00 AM and be locked at noon. Please proceed on the dirt road to the back of the property, where you will be directed by signage to the drop-off location. The flow of traffic is counterclockwise (follow the signs). There is adequate space for two trucks/trailers to unload simultaneously. Please review the following map and photos to the location:
